Winter Wellness Tea Giveaway

**This giveaway is now closed.**

Cat is the winner of a sample of Winter Wellness teas, courtesy of Traditional Medicinals.  Congrats, Cat!

Baron has had many adventures in his lifetime.

Let’s see.  There was living off the grid and then in a yurt.  Working as a Soysage maker for Twin Oaks. And numerous backpacking adventures.  All the while he was cultivating a love for wild edibles.

So we were super excited when a gratis sample box of Traditional Medicinal Teas arrived in the mail.

In the box, he found his favorite wild herbs, dandelion and nettles.  He uses dandelion as a detoxifier, and the nettles to combat hayfever season*.TraditionalMedicinalTea.PartTimeHealthNut

I jumped all over the Organic Lemon Balm which helps “calm a jangled nervous system”*. Ha, if you read Saturday’s post, you know I’m all about soothing my delicate nervous system. I drink this tea and am asleep within the hour.

If I’m really wound up, I’ll drink the Organic Nighty Night Tea, which has the added benefit of passionflower for relaxation*.

Then there’s the healthy digestion teas. Which, I’ll admit is something I need if I’ve been cooking and tasting for 9 hours straight.

Their Peppermint Tea is the strongest and most soothing mint tea I’ve ever tasted.

And the Ginger Tea is my go-to if I’m having a hard time digesting raw vegetables or nuts*.

I’m loving the Echinacea Plus daily to support my immune system*.

And the Chamomile with Lavender has been added to my tea rotation for a good night’s rest*.

The Throat Coat is naturally sweet with licorice, slippery elm and marshmallow root. I drink it when I have a morning sore throat from breathing dry heated air all night.

  2. Always ready to try new teas (at least for me anyways!). Thank you for the opportunity! I enjoy your posts and recipes! Especially all these quinoa ones. Thanks for experimenting for us! :)

  3. These look great, I LOVE my tea! Is too much Ginger tea unhealthy? I’d love to try the chamomile and lavender and the nighty night tea.

  4. How great that I just found your website. Love trying new teas and what a great way to get through the winter, trying new things! Thanks for the opportunity to win the great tea package.

  5. Hi Marya, I was reading ratings of organic tofus today and I thought of Baron because Twin Oaks got 5 soybeans, which is the best rating.

  6. Hey – that’s great! It’s so hard to know what to do for some of those ailments. I’d love to try them, too. Not sure if we can get all of those locally, but I think I’ve seen some at the market. You make trying teas sound like fun. :-)

  7. My dr. suggested that my my sore throat could also be coming from eating less than four hours before bedtime. (acid reflux) He also suggested adding a humidifier to our house since we heat with wood.
I love all their teas I have tried so far!

    • Oh wow, I hadn’t heard about a connection between reflux and sore throats. Although I know postnasal drip can be a culprit. You’re right, the humidifier is great. My problem is remembering to turn it on ;)

  8. I absolutely love tea! Not only its taste but its warmth. Its become a habit to every evening get all cozy in my jammies and wool slippers, curl on the couch and sip tea while watching the fireplace. Nothing like it :)

I love hearing from you! Please leave a comment...
